At last! My 
visual poetry piece. Ideally I'd like this to be on one page of a magazine, but neither my printing capabilities nor my photoshopping skills (or complete lack of skills) are currently cooperating.
So it's this for now. I think it's all right. I think there's enough magazine style to stop it looking like a picture with words stuck on top. I think.

I remember a Garfield strip in which he was so hungry he ate a picture of lasagne from a magazine, but had to spit out the staples.
I like the image choice. She's beautiful but wearing too much make-up and obviously dissatisfied with herself. Something about the curl of her hands and the way her head is turned is so fretful and precise. It's as though she wants to be porcelain but the whole biological entity thing keeps getting in the way. I like the words too of course. In fact this is a pretty close simulacrum of a magazine spread. The words and image are quite nicely balanced to each other.
